I AM HENRY Wins ‘2’ London Filmmaker Awards
What an amazing night at the London International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema 2016. I AM HENRY scooped two awards for Best Costume and Best Hair & Make-Up.
The week-long festival began with a screening of I AM HENRY followed by a Q&A session with the writer-director Jan Hendrik Verstraten and producer Massimo Barbato. The festival concluded with a red carpet event at the Crown Plaza Hotel, which was packed with talented independent filmmakers from around the world.
There was tough competition in both the Costume Design and Hair & Make-Up categories.
On winning her first award for Best Costume, Kristen Ernst-Brown said: “It was an honour winning Best Costume.” Kristen is currently working on the Harry Potter prequel ‘Fantastic Beasts’ starring Eddie Redmayne. This was also Chanel Murray’s first award for Hair & Make-Up and she was equally excited to win recognition for her talent. She said: “It has been an absolute privilege to work with such remarkable people.”
These awards are well deserved and a great testimony to the excellent work that both Kristen and Chanel achieved on our small-budget period production.
This brings a total of 11 film festival awards and two nominations for I AM HENRY, so far.
