I am Henry wins Gold at WorldFest-Houston
“Being part of the Official Selection is a great honour. Only the very best are chosen from literally thousands of submissions,” according to J Hunter Todd, Chairman and Founding Director. “The Remi Winners of this year, our 49th WorldFest-Houston will be the Spielberg’s and Ang Lee’s of tomorrow,” he said.
The Annual WorldFest-Houston is one of the oldest and best-loved independent film festivals in the world. The REMI Award is named after the great Western Artist Frederic Remington, who captured the spirit of Texas and The American West with his remarkable paintings and sculptures. It has given honours to Spielberg, George Lucas, Oliver Stone, Ridley Scott, David Lynch and hundreds more in the past.
We are thrilled and delighted to announce that I AM HENRY, which was officially selected for this year’s WorldFest-Houston, won a prestigious Gold REMI award. Writer/Director Jan Hendrik Verstraten was at the Gala ceremony on 16th April 2016, to collect the award. Verstraten said: “This is an amazing achievement. An exceptional team of talented actors and filmmakers has made this possible. This award is a recognition of their contribution. Our next step is to develop this short into a full length feature or mini-series for TV.”
